This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength * and turns his heart from the LORD.

3Me mmepɔ a ɛwɔ asase no so
ne mo ahonyadeɛ ne mo akoradeɛ nyinaa,
mede bɛma sɛ afodeɛ,
ɛne mo sorɔnsorɔmmea nso,
ɛsiane mo ɔman no so bɔne enti. 4Mo ankasa mfomsoɔ enti, mobɛhwere
agyapadeɛ* a mede maa mo no.
Mede mo bɛyɛ nkoa ama mo atamfoɔ
wɔ asase a monnim soɔ so,
ɛfiri sɛ moahwanyane mʼabufuo,
na ɛbɛtena hɔ daa.” 5Sei na Awurade seɛ,
“Nnome nka deɛ ɔde ne ho to onipa so,
deɛ ɔde ne ho to ɔhonam so pɛ nʼahoɔden
na nʼakoma dane firi Awurade ho. 6Ɔbɛyɛ sɛ wira a ɛwɔ nsase tamaa so;
sɛ yiedie ba a, ɔrenhunu,
ɔbɛtena anweatam a awoɔ so,
ne nkyene asase a obi nte soɔ so. 7“Nhyira nka onipa a ɔde ne ho to Awurade so,
na nʼanidasoɔ wɔ ne mu.
