For the day is near, the Day of the LORD is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.*

1Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ: 2“Onipa ba, hyɛ nkɔm na ka sɛ: ‘Sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ:
“ ‘Twa adwo na ka sɛ,
“Ao ɛda no!” 3Na ɛda no abɛn,
Awurade ɛda no abɛn,
omununkum ɛda,
amanaman no atemmuo berɛ. 4Akofena bi bɛba abɛtia Misraim,
na ahoyera bɛba Kus so.
Sɛ apirafoɔ totɔ wɔ Misraim a
wɔbɛsoa nʼahonyadeɛ akɔ
na wɔabubu ne fapem agu fam. 5Kus ne Put, Lidia ne Arabia nyinaa, Libia ne bɔhyɛ asase no so nnipa ne Misraim bɛtotɔ wɔ akofena ano.
