For a nation from the north will come against her; it will make her land a desolation. No one will live in it; both man and beast will flee.”

Mompagya frankaa na mompae mu nka;
na momma wɔnte sɛ,
‘Wɔbɛfa Babilonia;
wɔbɛgu Bel anim ase,
na ehu bɛhyɛ Merodak ma.
Wɔbɛgu ne nsɛsodeɛ anim ase
na ehu bɛhyɛ nʼahoni ma.’ 3Ɔman bi firi atifi fam bɛto ahyɛ ne so
na wɔbɛyɛ nʼasase amanfo.
