Moab has been at ease from youth, settled like wine on its dregs; he has not been poured from vessel to vessel or gone into exile. So his flavor has remained the same, and his aroma is unchanged.

9Momfa nkyene nhyɛ Moab,
ɛfiri sɛ wɔrebɛsɛe no;
ne nkuro bɛda mpan a
obiara rentena soɔ. 10“Nnome nka deɛ ɔtwentwɛnee ne nan ase wɔ Awurade adwumayɛ ho!
Nnome nka deɛ ɔmmfa nʼakofena nhwie mogya nguo! 11“Moab atena ase asomdwoeɛ mu firi ne mmerante ɛberɛ mu,
te sɛ nsã ase puo a ataa dinn
a wɔnnhwie mfirii ahina mu nkɔguu ahina foforɔ mu da;
saa ara na Moab nso nkɔɔ nnommumfa mu da.
Enti ɔte sɛ deɛ ɔte ara,
na ne ho hwa nsesa. 12Nanso, nna bi reba,”
