I will deliver them into the hands of those who seek their lives—of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. But after this, Egypt will be inhabited as in days of old, declares the LORD.

24Wɔbɛgu Ɔbabaa Misraim anim ase,
wɔde no bɛhyɛ atifi fam nnipa no nsa.” 25Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ka sɛ, “Mede asotwe reba Tebes nyame Amon, Farao, Misraim ne nʼanyame ne nʼahemfo ne wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to Farao soɔ no so. 26Mede wɔn bɛhyɛ wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔkum wɔn no nsa: Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar ne nʼadwumayɛfoɔ no. Nanso, akyire no, nnipa bɛtena Misraim asase so te sɛ kane no,” Awurade na ɔseɛ. 27“Nsuro, Ao Yakob me ɔsomfoɔ;

“Ɛwom sɛ mesɛe aman no nyinaa koraa,
aman a mehwetee mo kɔɔ so no deɛ,
nanso merensɛe mo korakora.
Mede tenenee nko ara na ɛbɛtenetene mo so;
meremma mommfa mo ho nni a merentwe mo aso.”
