For this is what the LORD says: “You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.”

1Nyane, nyane, Ao Sion,
hyɛ ahoɔden aduradeɛ no.
Hyɛ wo ntadeɛ fɛfɛ no
Ao, Yerusalem kuropɔn kronkron no.
Momonotofoɔ ne wɔn a wɔn ho agu fi
renwura wʼapono mu bio. 2Poroporo wo ho mfuturo.
Sɔre, tena ahennwa so, Ao, Yerusalem.
Yiyi nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn no firi wo kɔn mu,
Ao, Ɔbabaa Sion a wɔafa wo nnomum. 3Na yei ne deɛ Awurade seɛ:
“Wɔantɔn wo annye hwee,
na ɛnyɛ sika na wɔde bɛgye wo.” 4Na yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ:
“Ɛberɛ bi me nkurɔfoɔ kɔɔ Misraim kɔtenaa hɔ;
akyire no Asiria bɛhyɛɛ wɔn so. 5“Na seesei, ɛdeɛn na mehunu yi?” Sei na Awurade seɛ.
“Wɔafa me nkurɔfoɔ kɔ kwa,
na wɔn sodifoɔ di fɛw,”
