urging them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be killed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

16Nígbà náà ni Daniẹli wọlé tọ ọba lọ, ó sì tọrọ kí ọba fún òun ní ààyè, òun yóò fi ìtumọ̀ àlá náà hàn fún ọba. 17Nígbà náà ni Daniẹli padà lọ sí ilé e rẹ̀, ó sì sọ fún àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ ẹ rẹ̀ Hananiah, Miṣaeli àti Asariah. 18Ó sọ fún wọn pé kí wọn béèrè fún àánú Ọlọ́run, Olúwa ọ̀run, nítorí àṣírí yìí, kí Daniẹli pẹ̀lú àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ rẹ̀ má ba ṣègbé pẹ̀lú àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n Babeli yòókù, tí ó wà ní Babeli. 19Ní òru, àṣírí náà hàn sí Daniẹli ní ojú ìran.
