He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace by way of the Gate of the Guards. Then Joash took his seat on the royal throne,

17Nígbà náà ni Jehoiada dá májẹ̀mú láàrín Olúwa àti ọba àti àwọn ènìyàn tí yóò jẹ́ ènìyàn Olúwa. Ó dá májẹ̀mú láàrín ọba àti àwọn ènìyàn pẹ̀lú. 18Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà lọ sí ilé tí a kọ́ fún òrìṣà Baali wọ́n sì ya á bolẹ̀. Wọ́n fọ́ àwọn pẹpẹ àti òrìṣà sí wẹ́wẹ́. Wọ́n sì pa Mattani àlùfáà Baali níwájú àwọn pẹpẹ.
