and the LORD sent an angel who annihilated every mighty man of valor and every leader and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.

19Wọ́n sọ̀rọ̀ nípa Ọlọ́run Jerusalẹmu bí wọ́n ti ṣe nípa àwọn ọlọ́run àwọn ènìyàn mìíràn ti àgbáyé, iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ àwọn ènìyàn. 20Ọba Hesekiah àti wòlíì Isaiah ọmọ Amosi sọkún jáde nínú àdúrà sí ọ̀run nípa èyí. 21Olúwa sì ran angẹli tí ó pa gbogbo àwọn ọmọ-ogun àti àwọn adarí àti àwọn ìjòyè tí ó wà nínú àgọ́ ọba Asiria run. Ó tọ́jú wọn ní gbogbo ọ̀nà. 23Ọ̀pọ̀ mú ọrẹ wá sí Jerusalẹmu fún Olúwa àti àwọn ẹ̀bùn iyebíye fún Hesekiah ọba Juda. Ó sì gbéga lójú gbogbo àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè lẹ́yìn náà.
