While Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered terribly in a dream today because of Him.”

17Anɔpa no a nnipadɔm no hyiaa wɔ Pilato ahemfie anim hɔ no, Pilato bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Hwan na mopɛ sɛ megyaa no ma mo, Baraba anaa Yesu, mo Agyenkwa no?” 18Na ɔnim pefee sɛ Yudafoɔ mpanin no de ɔtan na akyere Yesu ɛfiri sɛ, na wagye edin. 19Pilato gu so redi Yesu asɛm no, ne yere soma ma wɔbɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Gyaa onipa tenenee no na ɔnkɔ ne baabi ɛfiri sɛ, anadwo yi, mesoo ne ho daeɛ a ɛyɛ hu yie maa me ho yeraa me.” 20Nanso, asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin kasa kyerɛɛ ɛdɔm no sɛ, wɔmmisa na wɔnnyaa Baraba mma wɔn na wɔnkum Yesu. 21Enti, ɛberɛ a amrado no sane bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Nnipa baanu yi mu hwan na mopɛ nɛ megyaa no ma mo?”
