Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

8Na Awurade bisaa Satan sɛ, “Wadwene me ɔsomfoɔ Hiob ho anaa? Obiara nte sɛ ɔno wɔ asase so, ne ho nni asɛm na ɔtene, ɔyɛ onipa a ɔsuro Onyankopɔn na ɔkyiri bɔne.” 9Satan buaa Awurade sɛ, “Hiob suro Onyankopɔn kwa anaa? 10Wonnyee ban mfaa ɔno, ne fie ne biribiara a ɔwɔ ho anaa? Woahyira ne nsa ano adwuma so, enti ne nnwan ne nʼanantwie ase atrɛ asase no so. 11Na wo deɛ, tene wo nsa na sɛe deɛ ɔwɔ nyinaa, na ɔbɛgyina wʼanim na wadome wo.” 12Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Satan sɛ, “Ɛyɛ, deɛ ɔwɔ nyinaa wɔ wo nsam, nanso ɔno ankasa deɛ, mfa wo nsateaa nka no.”
