“We have a law,” answered the Jews, “and according to that law He must die, because He declared Himself to be the Son of God.”

5Ɛberɛ a Yesu firii adi baeɛ no, na ɔhyɛ ahenkyɛ a wɔde nkasɛɛ anwono ne atadeɛ kɔkɔɔ. Pilato ka kyerɛɛ dɔm no sɛ, “Onipa no ni!” 6Ɛberɛ a asɔfoɔ mpanin ne awɛmfoɔ no hunuu Yesu no, wɔteateaam sɛ, “Bɔ no asɛnnua mu! Bɔ no asɛnnua mu!”
Pilato ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo ara ankasa momfa no nkɔ nkɔbɔ no asɛnnua mu, ɛfiri sɛ, menni asɛm biara a mɛgyina so abu no fɔ.” 7Yudafoɔ no buaa sɛ, “Yɛwɔ mmara a ɛkyerɛ sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔwu, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkaa sɛ, ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Ba.” 8Ɛberɛ a Pilato tee asɛm a wɔkaeɛ no, ɔbɔɔ hu yie. 9Ɔsane kɔɔ ahemfie hɔ kɔbisaa Yesu sɛ, “Ɛhe na wofiri?” Nanso Yesu ammua no.
