When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided His garments into four parts, one for each soldier, with the tunic remaining. It was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.

21Yudafoɔ asɔfoɔ mpanin no ka kyerɛɛ Pilato sɛ, “Ntwerɛ sɛ, ‘Yudafoɔ ɔhene’ na mmom twerɛ sɛ, ‘Saa ɔbarima yi na ɔkaa sɛ, mene Yudafoɔ ɔhene!’ ” 22Pilato kaa sɛ, “Deɛ matwerɛ no, matwerɛ.” 23Asraafoɔ no bɔɔ Yesu asɛnnua mu wieeɛ no, wɔkyɛɛ ne ntadeɛ mu maa asraafoɔ ɛnan no. Na saa atadeɛ no yɛ atadeɛ bi a, wɔanwono firi ne ɔsoro kɔsi ne fam a ɛnni mpameeɛ. 24Asraafoɔ no nyinaa kaa sɛ, “Mommma yɛnntete mu. Momma yɛmmɔ so ntonto na yɛnhunu onipa a ɔbɛnya.”
