They have returned to the sins of their forefathers who refused to obey My words. They have followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken the covenant I made with their fathers.

Ɛno enti memaa nnomea a ɛfiri apam a mahyɛ wɔn sɛ wɔnni so na wɔanni so no mu baa wɔn so.’ ” 9Na afei Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Atuateɛ apam bi wɔ Yudafoɔ ne wɔn a wɔtete Yerusalem ntam. 10Wɔasane kɔ wɔn agyanom a wɔampɛsɛ wɔtie mʼasɛm no, bɔne ho. Wɔadi anyame foforɔ akyi akɔsom wɔn. Yerusalem fiefoɔ ne Yuda fiefoɔ abu apam a me ne wɔn agyanom yɛeɛ no so. 11Ɛno enti deɛ Awurade seɛ nie: ‘Mede amanehunu a wɔrentumi nnwane mfiri mu bɛba wɔn so. Ɛwom sɛ, wɔsufrɛ me deɛ, nanso merennye wɔn so. 12Yuda nkuro ne Yerusalemfoɔ bɛkɔ akɔsu afrɛ anyame a wɔhye nnuhwam ma wɔn no, nanso sɛ amanehunu ba a wɔrentumi mmoa wɔn koraa.
