Thus they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they followed after various gods of the peoples around them. They bowed down to them and provoked the LORD to anger,

Wɔdii anyame foforɔ akyi, somm saa anyame no a ɛyɛ nnipa a wɔatwa wɔn ho ahyia no dea. Na wɔmaa Awurade bo fuiɛ. 13Wɔgyaa Awurade akyi die, kɔsom Baalim ne Astoret ahoni. 14Yei maa Awurade bo fuu Israel, enti ɔde wɔn hyɛɛ afomfafoɔ nsa, ma wɔwiaa wɔn ahodeɛ.
