My eyes fail, looking for Your promise; I ask, “When will You comfort me?”
Context
80May my heart be blameless in Your statutes,
that I may not be put to shame. 81My soul faints for Your salvation;
I wait for Your word. 82My eyes fail, looking for Your promise;
I ask, “When will You comfort me?” 83Though I am like a wineskin dried up by smoke,
I do not forget Your statutes. 84How many days must Your servant wait?*
When will You execute judgment on my persecutors?
