So to this day Edom has been in rebellion against the hand of Judah. Likewise, Libnah rebelled against his rule at the same time, because Jehoram had forsaken the LORD, the God of his fathers.

8Ní àkókò Jehoramu, Edomu ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Juda, wọ́n sì gbé ọba tiwọn kalẹ̀. 9Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, Jehoramu lọ síbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ àti gbogbo àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́. Àwọn ará Edomu yí i ká àti àwọn alákòóso àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀. Ṣùgbọ́n ó dìde ní òru ó sì ṣẹ́gun wọn ní òru. 10Títí di ọjọ́ òní ni Edomu ti wà ní ìṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Juda.
