The floodwaters have risen, O LORD; the rivers have raised their voice; the seas lift up their pounding waves.

1Awurade di ɔhene, wɔde tumi ahentadeɛ ahyɛ no;
wɔde tumi ahentadeɛ ahyɛ Awurade
na wɔde ahoɔden ayɛ nʼakodeɛ.
Wɔde ewiase atim hɔ pintinn;
na wɔrentumi ntutu. 2Wʼahennwa tim hɔ firi tete;
na wowɔ hɔ firi mmerɛsanten. 3Ao Awurade, ɛpo ama wɔn ho so,
ɛpo ama wɔn nne so;
ɛpo ama wɔn asorɔkye a ɛbɔ denden no so. 4Woyɛ deɛ ɔwɔ tumi sene nsuo akɛseɛ aprannaa,
deɛ ɔwɔ tumi sene ɛpo nworosoɔ.
Awurade a ɔte ɔsoro no yɛ kɛseɛ. 5Ao Awurade, wo nhyehyɛeɛ gyina hɔ pintinn;
kronkronyɛ hyɛ wo fie animuonyam
daa nyinaa.
