You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”

39Lewifoɔ a Awurade hyɛɛ Mose ne Aaron sɛ wɔnkan wɔn sɛdeɛ wɔn mmusua teɛ a ɔbarima biara a wɔadi bosome ne deɛ ɛboro saa ka ho no dodoɔ yɛ mpem aduonu mmienu (22,000). 40Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ, “Kan Israelfoɔ mmakan a wɔyɛ mmarima na wɔadi bosome ne deɛ ɛboro saa no, na twerɛ wɔn edin. 41Lewifoɔ no bɛyɛ me dea.
