After they had arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax * came to Peter and asked, “Does your Teacher pay the two drachmas?”

22Ɛda bi a Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no wɔ Galilea no, ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Wɔrebɛyi Onipa Ba no de no ahyɛ wɔn a 23wɔwɔ tumi no nsa, na wɔakum no na ne nnansa so no, wanyane aba nkwa mu bio.” Asuafoɔ no tee saa asɛm yi no, wɔn werɛ hoeɛ, na wɔn akoma nso tuiɛ. 24Ɛberɛ a wɔbɛduruu Kapernaum no nso, ɛhɔ asɔre no mu ɔtogyefoɔ baa Petro nkyɛn bɛbisaa no sɛ, “Enti, wo wura tua ɛtoɔ?” 25Petro buaa no sɛ, “Aane ɔtua.”
Petro firi hɔ no, ɔkɔɔ efie kɔbɔɔ Yesu amaneɛ a ɛfa ɛtoɔtua no ho. Yesu amma nʼano ansi koraa na ɔbisaa no sɛ, “Na wo Petro, wo nso wodwene ho sɛn? Ahemfo twa ɛtoɔ ma wɔn ara wɔn ɔmanfoɔ tua anaasɛ wɔtwa ma ahɔhoɔ a wɔdi wɔn so no?” 26Petro buaa sɛ, “Wɔtwa ɛtoɔ no ma ahɔhoɔ no.”
Yesu nso buaa sɛ, “Petro mo! Ɛnneɛ na ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔman mma no tua ɛtoɔ biara.
