I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John, yet even the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

26Anaa Onyankopɔn odiyifoɔ? Ɛnneɛ, mereka makyerɛ mo sɛ, ɔsene odiyifoɔ. 27Na saa Yohane yi na Atwerɛsɛm no ka fa ne ho sɛ,
“ ‘Mɛsoma me ɔbɔfoɔ adi wʼanim ɛkan,
ɔno na ɔbɛsiesie ɛkwan ama wo.’ 28Meka kyerɛ mo sɛ onipa biara nni hɔ a wɔawo no a ɔyɛ kɛse sene Yohane. Nanso, deɛ ɔyɛ aketewa koraa wɔ Ɔsoro Ahennie mu no yɛ ɔkɛseɛ sene no!” 29Na wɔn a wɔtee deɛ ɔkaeɛ no nyinaa a ɔtogyefoɔ mpo ka ho bi gye too mu sɛ, Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔteneneeni; na wɔsakyeraa wɔn adwene maa Yohane bɔɔ wɔn asu. 30Na Farisifoɔ ne Mmaranimfoɔ no deɛ, wɔpoo Onyankopɔn asɛm enti, wɔamma Yohane ammɔ wɔn asu.
