So John called two of his disciples and sent them to ask the Lord, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”

17Deɛ Yesu yɛeɛ yi ho asɛm trɛ kɔduruu Yudea ne nkuro a atwa ho ahyia no nyinaa mu. 18Yohane asuafoɔ kɔbɔɔ no deɛ asi no nyinaa ho amaneɛ. 19Yohane somaa nʼasuafoɔ no mu baanu kɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn kɔbisaa no sɛ, “Wone deɛ ɔreba no, anaasɛ yɛntwɛn ɔfoforɔ?” 20Asuafoɔ no duruu Yesu nkyɛn no, wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Yohane Osubɔni asoma yɛn wo nkyɛn sɛ yɛmmɛbisa wo sɛ, wone deɛ ɔreba no anaasɛ yɛntwɛn ɔfoforɔ?” 21Saa ɛberɛ no ara mu, Yesu saa nyarewa bebree; ɔtuu ahonhommɔne na ɔmaa anifirafoɔ hunuu adeɛ.
