“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am on my way, someone else goes in before me.”

5Na ɔbarima bi ayare ada ɔtadeɛ no ho mfeɛ aduasa nwɔtwe. 6Yesu hunuu sɛ wayare ada hɔ akyɛre no, ɔbisaa no sɛ, “Wopɛ sɛ wo ho yɛ wo den anaa?” 7Ɔyarefoɔ no buaa no sɛ, “Me wura, sɛ ɔbɔfoɔ no bɛhono nsuo no a, mennya obi a ɔbɛma me so ato mu. Ɛberɛ biara a mɛbɔ me ho mmɔden sɛ merekɔ nsuo no mu no, obi di me ɛkan.” 8Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɔre! Bobɔ wo kɛtɛ na kɔ efie.” 9Amonom hɔ ara, ɔbarima no ho yɛɛ no den; ɔbobɔɔ ne kɛtɛ, hyɛɛ aseɛ nanteeɛ.
