Now the Jewish Passover was near, and many people went up from the country to Jerusalem to purify themselves before the Passover.

53Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, Yudafoɔ mpanin no faa adwene sɛ wɔbɛkum Yesu. 54Yei enti, Yesu anyi ne ho adi wɔ Yudea, na ɔfirii hɔ kɔɔ ɛserɛ so kuro bi a wɔfrɛ no Efraim ne nʼasuafoɔ no kɔtenaa hɔ. 55Na Yudafoɔ Twam Afahyɛ no rebɛn enti nnipa pii fifirii wɔn nkuraaseɛ kɔɔ Yerusalem sɛ wɔrekɔdwira wɔn ho de atwɛn afahyɛ no. 56Na wɔrehwehwɛ Yesu ahunu no.
