In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month—in the fourteenth year after Jerusalem had been struck down—on that very day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He took me there.

1Yɛn nnommumfa afe a ɛtɔ so aduonu enum, afe no ahyɛaseɛ bosome ɛda a ɛtɔ so edu a ɛyɛ kuropɔn no asehweɛ afe a ɛtɔ so dunan no, saa ɛda no ara no Awurade nsa baa me so, na ɔde me kɔɔ hɔ. 2Onyankopɔn anisoadehunu mu no, ɔde me kɔɔ Israel asase so, na ɔde me kɔgyinaa bepɔ tenten bi so; nʼanafoɔ fam no na adan bi wɔ hɔ a ɛsɛ kuropɔn. 3Ɔde me kɔɔ hɔ na mehunuu ɔbarima bi a ne tebea te sɛ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ; na ɔgyina ɔpono no ano, kura serekye ahoma ne susudua wɔ ne nsam.
