At daybreak the apostles entered the temple courts as they had been told and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin*—the full assembly of the elders of Israel—and sent to the jail for the apostles.

19Ɛda no ara anadwo, Awurade ɔbɔfoɔ bɛbuee afiase apono no dii asomafoɔ no anim ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, 20“Monkɔ asɔredan mu nkɔka nkwa foforɔ yi ho asɛm nkyerɛ nnipa no.” 21Asomafoɔ no dii asɛm a ɔbɔfoɔ no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn no so; enti, anɔpahema no wɔkɔɔ asɔredan mu hɔ hyɛɛ aseɛ kyerɛkyerɛeɛ.
Ɔsɔfopanin no ne nʼahokafoɔ no frɛɛ Yudafoɔ mpanin maa wɔyɛɛ nhyiamu kɛseɛ bi; afei, wɔsoma maa wɔkɔɔ afiase hɔ sɛ wɔnkɔfa asomafoɔ no mmra wɔn anim. 22Nanso, ɛberɛ a nnipa no duruu afiase hɔ no, wɔanhunu asomafoɔ no; enti wɔsane ba bɛbɔɔ wɔn amaneɛ sɛ, 23“Ɛberɛ a yɛduruu afiase hɔ no, yɛhunuu sɛ wɔatoto afiase apono no nyinaa mu petee a awɛmfoɔ no gyinagyina ano. Nanso, yɛbuebuee apono no no, yɛanhunu obiara wɔ mu.”
