Immediately the man was made well, and he picked up his mat and began to walk. Now this happened on the Sabbath day,

7Onye ọrịa ahụ zara, “Nna m ukwu, enweghị m onye ọbụla ga-enyere m aka kuba m nʼime ọdọ mmiri a ma a gbarụọ ya, mgbe o bụla m chọrọ ka m danye, onye ọzọ na-eburu m ụzọ danye.” 8Jisọs gwara ya, “Bilie, chilie ute gị jegharịa.” 9Nʼotu oge ahụ, ahụ dịrị nwoke ahụ mma, ọ chịlịri ute ya, malite ijegharị.
Ihe a mere nʼụbọchị izuike. 10Ma ndị Juu gwara nwoke ahụ a gwọrọ ọrịa, “Taa bụ ụbọchị izuike, o megidere iwu na ị ga-ebu ute gị.” 11Ma ọ zaghachiri ha, “Nwoke ahụ mere ka ahụ dị m mma sịrị m, ‘Chilie ute gị laa.’ ”
