Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro,* the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb,* the mountain of God.

Ọ batara Horeb,* ugwu Chineke. 2Nʼebe ahụ, mmụọ ozi nke Onyenwe anyị mere ka ọ hụ ya nʼọkụ na-ere nʼetiti ọhịa. Mosis hụrụ na ọ bụ ezie na ọhịa ahụ na-enwu ọkụ ma ọ naghị ere ọkụ. 3Nʼihi ya, Mosis chere nʼobi ya sị, “Aga m aga nso leruo ihe omimi a anya, otu ọkụ si enwu ma ọhịa anaghị ere ọkụ.”
