Ṣùgbọ́n ilẹ̀ orí òkè igbó jẹ́ tiyín pẹ̀lú. Ẹ ṣán ilẹ̀ náà, òpin rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ tiyín pátápátá. Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn ará Kenaani ní kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun irin, tí ó sì jẹ́ pé wọ́n ní agbára, síbẹ̀ ẹ lè lé wọn jáde.”

because the hill country will be yours as well. It is a forest; clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours. Although the Canaanites have iron chariots and although they are strong, you can drive them out.”

16Àwọn ènìyàn Josẹfu dáhùn pé, “Òkè kò tó fún wa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni gbogbo àwọn ará Kenaani tí ó gbé ní pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn tí ń bẹ ní Beti-Ṣeani àti àwọn ìletò àti àwọn tí ń gbé ní àfonífojì Jesreeli ní kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun onírin.” 17Ṣùgbọ́n Joṣua sọ fún àwọn ilé Josẹfu: fún Efraimu àti Manase pé, “Lóòtítọ́ ni ẹ pọ̀ lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀, ẹ sì jẹ́ alágbára. Ẹ̀yin kí yóò sì ní ìpín kan ṣoṣo. 18Ṣùgbọ́n ilẹ̀ orí òkè igbó jẹ́ tiyín pẹ̀lú. Ẹ ṣán ilẹ̀ náà, òpin rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ tiyín pátápátá.
