Then Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the armies with him took the whole remnant of the people from Mizpah whom he had recovered from Ishmael son of Nethaniah after Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam: the soldiers, women, children, and court officials * he had brought back from Gibeon.

Àwọn ọmọ-ogun, àwọn obìnrin, àwọn ọmọdé àti àwọn olórí ilé ẹjọ́ tí ó ti kó wa láti Gibeoni. 17Wọ́n sì kúrò níbẹ̀, wọ́n dúró ní Geruti Kimhamu ní ẹ̀bá Bẹtilẹhẹmu ní ọ́nà ìrìnàjò wọn sí Ejibiti. 18Láti gba àwọn Babeli sílẹ̀. Wọ́n bẹ̀rù wọn nítorí wí pé, “Iṣmaeli ọmọ Netaniah ti pa Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu èyí tí ọba Babeli ti yàn gẹ́gẹ́ bí i gómìnà lórí ilẹ̀ náà.”
