(19) Herodu sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti Judea lọ sí Kesarea, ó sì wà níbẹ̀ fún ìgbà díẹ̀. (20) Herodu sí ń bínú gidigidi sí àwọn ará Tire àti Sidoni; ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n fi ìmọ̀ ṣọ̀kan wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, nígbà tí wọn sì ti tu Bilasitu ìwẹ̀fà ọba lójú, wọn ń bẹ̀bẹ̀ fún àlàáfíà, nítorí pé ìlú ọba náà ni ìlú tí wọ́n ti ń gba oúnjẹ.

Now Herod was in a furious dispute * with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they convened before him. Having secured the support of Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their region depended on the king’s country for food.

18Nígbà tí ilẹ̀ sì mọ́, ìrúkèrúdò díẹ̀ kọ́ ni ó wà láàrín àwọn ọmọ-ogun nípa ohun tí ó dé bá Peteru. 19Nígbà tí Herodu sì wá a kiri, tí kò sì rí i, ó wádìí àwọn ẹ̀ṣọ́, ó pàṣẹ pé, kí a pa wọ́n. 20(19) Herodu sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti Judea lọ sí Kesarea, ó sì wà níbẹ̀ fún ìgbà díẹ̀. (20) Herodu sí ń bínú gidigidi sí àwọn ará Tire àti Sidoni; ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n fi ìmọ̀ ṣọ̀kan wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, nígbà tí wọn sì ti tu Bilasitu ìwẹ̀fà ọba lójú, wọn ń bẹ̀bẹ̀ fún àlàáfíà, nítorí pé ìlú ọba náà ni ìlú tí wọ́n ti ń gba oúnjẹ. 21Ni ọjọ́ àfiyèsí kan, Herodu sì wà nínú aṣọ ìgúnwà rẹ̀, ni orí ìtẹ́ rẹ̀, ó sì ń bá àwọn àjọ ènìyàn sọ̀rọ̀ ní gbangba. 22Àwọn ènìyàn sì hó wí pé, “Ohùn ọlọ́run ni èyí, kì í sì í ṣe ti ènìyàn!”
