I will kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and Nebuchadnezzar will burn those temples and take their gods as captives.* So he will wrap himself with the land of Egypt as a shepherd wraps himself in his garment, and he will depart from there unscathed.

10Afei ka kyerɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Sei na Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn seɛ: Mɛsoma me ɔsomfoɔ Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar, na mede nʼahennwa bɛsi saa aboɔ a masie wɔ ha no so; na ɔbɛtrɛ nʼadehye kyiniiɛ mu wɔ so. 11Ɔbɛba abɛto ahyɛ Misraim so, na ɔbɛkum wɔn a wɔahyɛ sɛ wɔnkum wɔn no, na wɔafa wɔn a wɔahyɛ sɛ wɔnkɔ nnommumfa mu nnommum. Na wɔn a wɔahyɛ sɛ wɔmfa wɔn mma akofena no nso, wɔde wɔn bɛma akofena. 12Ɔbɛto Misraim anyame asɔredan mu ogya ahye na wɔafa wɔn anyame no nnommum. Sɛdeɛ odwanhwɛfoɔ de nʼatadeɛ kyekyere ne ho no, saa ara na ɔde Misraim bɛkyekyere ne ho na wafiri hɔ akɔ a ne ho baabiara renti. 13Owia asɔredan a ɛwɔ Misraim no, ɔbɛbubu nʼafadum kronkron no, na wahye Misraim anyame asɔredan no dworobɛɛ.’ ”
