In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah, the LORD stirred the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia to send a proclamation throughout his kingdom and to put it in writing as follows:

Awurade, ɔsoro Onyankopɔn de ahemman a ɛwɔ asase so nyinaa ahyɛ me nsa. Wayi me sɛ, mensi asɔredan mma no wɔ Yerusalem wɔ Yuda asase so. 3Mo a moyɛ ne nkurɔfoɔ nyinaa, monsane nkɔ Yerusalem wɔ Yuda, nsane nkɔsi saa Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, a ɔte Yerusalem no asɔredan.
