This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance, taking vengeance with malice of soul to destroy Judah with ancient hostility,

13deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ nie: Mɛtene me nsa atia Edom na makum ne mmarima ne ne mmoa. Mɛma asase a ɛda Teman kɔsi Dedan ada mpan, na wɔbɛtotɔ wɔ akofena ano. 14Me nkurɔfoɔ Israelfoɔ bɛyɛ nsa a mɛfa so atɔ Edom so wereɛ na wɔ ne no bɛdi no sɛdeɛ mʼabufuo ne mʼabufuhyeɛ teɛ; wɔbɛhunu mʼaweretɔ, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.’ ” 15“Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: ‘Esiane sɛ Filistifoɔ tɔɔ awere, na wɔde akoma mu nsusuiɛ bɔne na ɛyɛɛ saa, na wɔde ɔtane a ɛfiri tete sɛee Yuda enti, 16sɛdeɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ nie: Merebɛtene me nsa atia Filistifoɔ, na matwa Keretifoɔ no agu na masɛe wɔn a wɔaka wɔ mpoano hɔ no. 17Mɛtɔ wɔn so were a ɛso, na matwe wɔn aso wɔ mʼabufuhyeɛ mu. Na sɛ metɔ wɔn so were a, wɔbɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no.’ ”
