“Caesar’s,” they answered. So Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

And they brought Him a denarius.* 20“Whose image is this,” He asked, “and whose inscription?” 21“Caesar’s,” they answered.
So Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” 22And when they heard this, they were amazed. So they left Him and went away. 23That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him.
